Prior to NLHA, Cody was a good hitter; his biggest problem being inconsistency with a lack of knowing exactly what he wanted to do and especially how best to approach the knee high pitch.
Our interest in rotational mechanics originally stemmed from not being able to reconcile our current instruction with common sense. We recently learned of NLHA from Mike Epstein's website.
I think the level of instruction at NLHA exemplifies the highest standards available that I know about and continues to be creative with an eye toward getting even better.
I believe we now are better equipped to self diagnose and feel more confident about the specific ways to improve using video analysis and hard consistent work.
My recommendation for anyone considering lessons at NLHA is that it is the very best available, if the student is equipped to pursue the work involved in learning a better approach to hitting.

1. Please provide some background information about your players hitting skills prior to coming to Next Level Hitting. She was a .250 hitter and now she is at .419 (second highest on the team). She has more power to the opposite field than she did before (more power period). Topped a lot of balls into the ground before. More consistent contact and harder contact now. She was slow and long and now has great bat speed and gets to the ball quick and inside. More confidence now and no fear of opposing pitchers. Completely switched from linear to rotational.
2. What did you know about hitting and why did you choose to learn more about rotational mechanics. Experienced player who was always taught linear mechanics. She had a little exposure to rotational mechanics but then switched to a different team at the end of last season. Everything with rotational makes sense to her and I. The comparisons to the greatest hitters in softball and baseball explain it all. If it works for them, then it can work for up and coming kids with the right training.
3. How did you find out about NLHA? We saw the listing on eteamz under softball and decided to look into it after checking out the website. The website is very informational with good visuals.
4. How did you feel about the level of instruction given at NLHA? The level of instruction at NLHA is outstanding. I would recommend it to baseball and softball players alike. The addition of RVP makes it even better. The individual attention really makes it a pleasure to attend. We never questioned what the instructor was talking about as with past instructors. A wide variety of drills kept her attention as well as the positive feedback and encouragement. Instructor always available for consultation and honest with the student that it will take more than just lessons to become a better hitter, but hard work and practice outside of the lessons.
5. I believe a player who understand how to hit will be a better hitter. Has you player learned more about "How to effectively hit"? I agree and the degree of instruction given to her has enabled her to think on her own and make adjustments when something's not quite right. When I ask her what went wrong with an at bat or pitch, she'll usually tell me what she did wrong. It also speaks volumes when the student can look at other kids at the batting cages and tell you why they aren't hitting. Its great when your student can become the teacher.
6. What are the results from before and after you started training at NLHA The results have been amazing. Her coach has said, after training at NLHA, that it was the best he'd ever seen her hit. She has more power and her batting avg. has doubled. See number one for more details regarding the improvements.
7. What would you tell others who are considering taking lessons at NLHA?
I would definitely recommend NLHA academy to friends and family. I would tell them that it is well worth the investment to bring your kids to the next level. The results speak for themselves. Thanks for you help. See you again soon.

Dear Bob Just wanted to send a note of thanks for letting the Bronco A’s utilize the facilities at the Next Level Hitting Academy. As a coach of a Bronco “A” team, I found it necessary to provide our hitters with exposure to change-ups and curve balls. Bob has been training my 10 year old son for a little over 4 months. I have sent my son to several other coaches and they were all pretty much the same. It would basically be in a batting cage taking batting practice. I was looking for a little more. I found The Next Level Hitting Academy on line and gave them a call. I set up an appointment and was very impressed the moment I walked into the facility. It was obvious that this was a training facility and not just a batting cage. They do more then teach you to hit a ball. They teach you the art of being a good HITTER. They do a ton of hitting drills. They have state of the art equipment. They video tape you and break down your swing so you can visually see the areas of your swing that you need to work on. They have an awesome computer program that will take the video of you and put it next to your favorite Big League player so you can compare your swing to the Pros. The contrast in my 13 year old daughter's before and after swings is incredible. The fact that she has been able to implement "the program" in such a short period of time is a testament to the instruction she has received at the academy. She is hitting the ball with more confidence and power. We are excited about the solid long-term foundation she now has in hitting the softball.
